Image grid templates for Sweeter Home

In Edit Mode Sweeter Home blocks align into a 16×16 grid. Due to different screen resolutions this means the actual pixel size of each grid division is different depending on the device you’re using.

To help those of you who like to create custom images for their themes, and want to get your image alignment perfect, attached are PSD (Photoshop) files with a graphical (pixel) grid on a layer as well as actual Photoshop guides already laid out for you. At the moment I’m supplying portrait only.

Note: I’m fairly sure these will open with grids included in The GIMP, which is free.

An important note: these PSD files are NOT the same size as the screen resolution of your device. But this is correct because they exclude the pixels used by the notification bar in Android.

New Site Design

Hi everyone. After several days of messing around in WordPress I’ve got the new site design mostly finished. Unlike with Sweeter Home themes, I usually don’t have much of an idea of how I want things to look when messing with site designs, so luckily this one came together pretty quick. If anything’s broken please let me know. And remember: this site is for you. If there’s any extra features you’d like, just let me know.

Minimal challenge

I’m a bit late on this but Colour Me Android had a Sweeter Home challenge a few weeks ago. Go see if you want to resurrect it!

Groupie

Update: added labels to icons on all trays as this was highly requested. :)

Here’s the first version of Groupie. It’s a theme loosely based around the idea of dynamic folders. I’ve used tiny Tagged Trays as the icons with Springboards sitting above them that target the larger trays. The buttons will always display the first 4 icons in your tagged tray, so if you add or remove an app from a category this will be shown in the button too.

  • Theme Resolution: 480×800 (Nexus One, Evo, Droid etc)
  • Find: Search “Groupie” or “Lemon” in the theme list
  • Install now: Click to show QR code, then scan
