Great video demo on Androinica

Well it looks like enough time has passed. More people are starting to share their themes! There’s a great video post over at Androinica where Andrew shows the Watchmen theme he’s been working with. He also showcases as EXCELLENT workaround you can use if you don’t like the current default springboard icons. Simply set an image as a button on the layer above the springboard icon and cover it up! Great work, Andrew. The Comedian screen with SMSs at the bottom is a slick piece of design!

I got hold of Sweeter Home (preview 1) when it first showed up in the Android Market. After a day or two I quickly realised the potential this Home Replacement had, and built a couple of demo Sweeter Home themes to show what this Launcher was capable of (you might be familiar with the Matrix theme video on YouTube). I started this blog in response to the initial popularity of those videos. Since then I've had the pleasure of lending ideas and beta testing for the developer of Sweeter Home.

    Thanks for your informative videos; I’ve got a good headstart today with Sweeter Home after watching these.

    You and others might be interested in a collection of PNG format icons I’ve just found at http://www.vistaicons.com.

    I’ve just grabbed some of the free graphics there to use as overlays for springboards.
