About Lemon

I got hold of Sweeter Home (preview 1) when it first showed up in the Android Market. After a day or two I quickly realised the potential this Home Replacement had, and built a couple of demo Sweeter Home themes to show what this Launcher was capable of (you might be familiar with the Matrix theme video on YouTube). I started this blog in response to the initial popularity of those videos. Since then I've had the pleasure of lending ideas and beta testing for the developer of Sweeter Home.

You need to be running Sweeter Home when you scan it.

    Love this theme!
I’m adding a weather icon but can’t figure out how to get it to launch a weather app. How did you add the ‘Add To Tray’ option on the date and time?
    Thanks

    • Lemon says:

      Ok.

Edit the theme and long press over the clock. Select the Custom Tray : time block. Long press it and choose Copy. Press back button once to Deselect. Press menu, paste. Long press then edit the block. Rename the title AND id to “weather” or similar. Press back button till you’re on the homescreen but your weather block is still selected… hold and drag to relocate your new custom tray weather block.

      Good luck :)

I’m new to droid. I’ve downloaded this theme – it’s awesome. Is there a way to add shortcuts to any of the other screens? And is it possible to change the clock to 12 hour format?

    • Lemon says:

      Hi! Yep there is.

For the clock – hit menu > edit theme. Long press over the time and from the popup list choose “custom tray:time:time”. Now that tray is selected (yellow grid). Long press it and choose “edit”. Scroll down and you should see a 12/24 hour toggle.

To add shortcuts, if you just want arbitrary shortcuts then you’ll need to add a custom tray – but you’ll need to heavily edit the custom tray:
      - make the background and border full transparent
      - make the icon 72px (if you’re running a WVGA phone)
      - change the colour of the icon label as required (white would look nice)…

Let me know if you need more help…
