Instructions:

• Tap the PYE logo for notes
• Tap the screen for the time
• SMS and Phone ‘buttons’ will prompt for your preferred short-cut the first time
• One screen only, no scrolling.

Performance:

• The images are the smallest I could get them but they still may eat your RAM from time to time, particularly during homescreen redraw (though I haven’t experienced this)
• Built on a Desire HD, should work fine on any WVGA device.

To use:
Press the clock or date, and in the app drawer, press “phone” or “sms” to add your preferred dialer and sms app shortcut.

To edit “phone” or “sms”:
Press menu > Edit Theme; long press over “phone” (or “sms”), choose “Text: phone” (or “Text: sms”) from the list; long press the yellow grid and press “Edit”; press “Text Content” and delete then retype your preferred text. To change the short cut exit edit mode, then long press over you new text, and drag out the existing shortcut; then long press there again to add a new shortcut.

Here’s the first version of Groupie. It’s a theme loosely based around the idea of dynamic folders. I’ve used tiny Tagged Trays as the icons with Springboards sitting above them that target the larger trays. The buttons will always display the first 4 icons in your tagged tray, so if you add or remove an app from a category this will be shown in the button too.

Here’s a quick Froyo theme I’ve thrown together. This is meant as more of a framework for you to edit and mess with. Some quick notes:

• If you want to use Better Cut to add custom icons in these slots, edit the custom tray, set “receive shortcuts” to Yes, exit edit mode, add your shortcut, enter edit mode, edit the custom tray, turn “receive shortcuts” to No again. You must do this for each tray one at a time.
• You can edit the dock colour – enter edit mode and long press over the dock, choose the “Dock Colour” block, edit it and change the background colour. Leave it slightly transparent for the best effect
