I stress again, this is NOT an iPhone theme! Ha! Based on Mac OS X, the dock spans seamlessly between all three screens. Applications on the right screen pop up like stacks. The tools, clocks and notes implementation is not the best right now but I’ll keep working on it. Once Android 1.5 drops (and Sweeter Home is widget ready) I’ll build in an OSX style widget screen as well.

aOSX 0.5 (download)
Landscape format skinned: No
Onscreen help: No
Readme: Yes (PLEASE READ IT, CONTAINS IMPORTANT SETUP INFO)
Background: any but try these Tiger or Leopard walls
Dev Kit: aOSX.psd

IMPORTANT: Sweeter Home is in Beta. Some springboards do not currently save in the theme so to set up springboards correctly install Asket and follow the instructions as per the following:

  • Middle Screen
    • Long-Press Tools > Springboard > W Tools
    • Long-Press Phonebook > Application > ‘Contacts’ or your fav phonebook app
    • Long-Press Clocks > Springboard > W Clocks
  • Left Screen
    • Long-Press Notes > Springboard > notes
  • Right Screen – should be fine as is

About Lemon

I got hold of Sweeter Home (preview 1) when it first showed up in the Android Market. After a day or two I quickly realised the potential this Home Replacement had, and built a couple of demo Sweeter Home themes to show what this Launcher was capable of (you might be familiar with the Matrix theme video on YouTube). I started this blog in response to the initial popularity of those videos. Since then I've had the pleasure of lending ideas and beta testing for the developer of Sweeter Home.

  6. Ryan Plinske says:

hey man how do i get it so the tools is a springboard for the folder cuz right now it wont work

  7. Lemon says:

I’m going from memory here coz I can’t check it. Does your theme show the tools Action Tray on the screen? If so then long-press on the “Tools” icon and choose Springboard – then choose the Tools action tray.

    Is that any help?

  8. Ryan Plinske says:

no i mean that the mac hd and tools folder and phonebook icons are just pictures and dont respond like the clocks folder or applications folder or notes folder.

  9. Lemon says:

^^^ Hmm, Ryan, there should be trays with invisible icons sitting above these that load into apps or a springboard tray.

Pretty sure I setup the MacHD to launch Astro, Phonebook should launch into Contacts, and Tool should spring out a tray…

  10. darius says:

U should be able to download skins directly from ur phone I can’t amd I’m using the g1

  11. Lemon says:

You can but only with plugins I think. You need an app that lets you download any file from your browser, and you need a zip app.
