Adding Contacts as Icons

Sorry it’s taken so long to answer this one.

A few people have asked how to add contacts as icons in a tray. I’m away from my laptop for a day so I’ll just have to talk you through this one without screenshots:

  • Long press in an action tray
  • Select “Shortcut”
  • Scroll down the list to “Contact” and select
  • Scroll through your list of contacts and select the person you’d like to add
  • ???
  • Profit!

You do have to do this for every contact you wish to add as an icon so it can be a slow process unfortunately. Maybe a good one for the train or bus!

About Lemon

I got hold of Sweeter Home (preview 1) when it first showed up in the Android Market. After a day or two I quickly realised the potential this Home Replacement had, and built a couple of demo Sweeter Home themes to show what this Launcher was capable of (you might be familiar with the Matrix theme video on YouTube). I started this blog in response to the initial popularity of those videos. Since then I've had the pleasure of lending ideas and beta testing for the developer of Sweeter Home.

Yep – this is an old article, they used to be called action trays! :)

What do you mean looking weird? Can you take a screen shot?
