Sweeter Home is an awesome home replacement for the Android mobile phone platform. The beauty of Sweeter Home is that every element you choose to place in your layout is customisable right there on your phone, which means you can build the home screen you want, when you want.

With enhanced editing and several UI tools, theme builders can effectively roll their own custom UI which breaks away from the “icons and drawer” replacement of most other home replacements. Themes can be uploaded and shared to all users from inside the app, which means more than being an app for theme designers, it’s also an app for the average user who wishes to browse and apply themes from a selection of thousands. Thanks to you guys my own themes have been downloaded over 11,000 times.

I started building themes for my own amusement as soon as I stumbled across Sweeter Home in the Android Market. I shared a couple of themes on XDA and then posted a couple of videos to You Tube that show just what’s possible with Sweeter Home. A few excellent Android news sites posted my videos and started driving a lot of web traffic my way so, in a hurry, I set up this blog as somewhere to share my themes and talk about Sweeter Home.

Sweeter Home’s Developer has very kindly added me to a list of closed-beta testers to test new builds of Sweeter Home before each becomes available. Currently the developer is working extremely hard on improving the stability and feature list of Sweeter Home 2.
